Parris Goebel Report

This week I wrote a report on a famous New Zealand dancer. Her name is Parris Goebel. She owns The Palace dance studio. I really love dance and Parris Goebel is a role model of mine. I chose this piece of writing to blog because it is well edited and it can inform people on a person I love. We were learning to inform the reader with all the information that we researched and read. Above is a slide that shows pictures of her achievements and herself.

Report Success Criteria
  • Structured well (paragraphs and subheadings)
  • Vocabulary (best words and lots of topic words)
  • Sentences (variety of different sentence starters)
  • No personal pronouns
  • Detail (added in lots of true information)
  • Punctuation (helps the reader)
  • Your own goal
Intro
22 year old Parris Goebel is a dancer who is meeting and working with celebrities thanks to her dancing career. Parris owns a dance studio in Auckland with her dad Bret which turns people into amazing dancers. Her crews have been to many competitions and performances. Heres some more information.

Early LIfe
Parris started dancing at an early age of 3. Ballet, Jazz and Hip hop were the 3 dances she did. At the age of 12 she quit Ballet and Jazz and committed herself to Hip Hop.  At 15 her Dad Brett pulled her out of school after a teacher said she needed to concentrate and write better essays. Her dad then thought she wants to dance and if that's what she wants as a future career, school won’t make her a better dancer. She then got offered a spot in  another dance crew but declined it and formed her own crew Request. She then opened “The Palace” dance studio with the help of her father.

Achievements
Her crews BubbleGum, Request, Sorority, Duchesses, Kings and Misfits have gotten many award at Regionals, Nationals and Internationals. The mega crew called the Royal family has  won gold, silver and bronze many times. In 2009 her crew Request won the varsity division. The following year she won the adults division. 2012 was one of Parris’ most full on years because she got hired  by Jennifer Lopez to choreograph her world tour called “Dance again world tour”. The Palace dance studio is one of the best studios in the world.

Conclusion

Paris is learning to rap and DJ. She loves to make people drift into a special place when she dances. Dance is Parris’ life.
