This week for writing we got to choose if we wanted to go to character description, speeches and scene writing. I chose scene writing with Mrs Love. I was really pleased with how it turned out and I felt like it was better than my previous one I wrote. I was particularly pleased with the adjectives I included. I had to do these things:
- Has strong adjectives
- Different sentence beginnings
- Different sentence lengths
- A simile and/or alliteration
- Has an introduction, body and conclusion
- Thoughtful word choices
- Your own goal
As I fix my eyes upon the exquisite nature in front of me, I realize it's not a dream. The sunrise creeping upon the jagged hills creates a flash light effect. Trees in the distance have surrounded a hill of scattered rocks. White icy snow melts on the pointy hills. Grey clouds shield the blue sky making the attractive view look darker. Slippery rocks form steps for a water fall. A muddy pool of orange crunchy leaves perch at the end of the waterfall. Short grass covering a hill is as green as leaves on pine trees. The mountain has a dip that allows the scorching sun to appear. A perfect place for a family tramp.
