Art Exhibition QR Code

Hi everyone, this week I chose to blog my QR code. What is a QR code your saying? Well if you have the QR code app on your phone, tablet, ipad or ipod you can scan my code and it will take you to my voice recording describing my description. The reason why I am blogging this is because I am really excited about my art and I want to share the excitement with you!
If you would like to make a QR code here is the link to make one.
Here is the description I was saying in the QR code.

My art is called Tree Seasons. It is 4 small canvases that have a tree spreading throughout all the seasons. The tree is a blossom tree and I love the colour of the flowers so that represents me. I chose this piece of art because it was challenging for me and I liked the look of it. The process of making it was a long process, I had to blend my canvases, draw my tree, Paint my tree and paint my leaves with cotton buds. There were tricky bits of that process. One of them was blending the colours. I had heaps of challenges during the time I made the art, especially when I messed up and I had to wipe the paint of my canvas. Some of the background rubbed off to so then I had to remake the same colour. That was hard!! One of my special features was having 4 different canvases which made my art easy to split into 4 pieces.
I am really proud of my art because I took great care with it.

This week I made a piece of art that was for the Parkvale School art exhibition. We got to choose what art we would like to recreate. Making the art was lots of fun, it was also frustrating. It was very nerve racking for me because if I made a mistake I would have to do it over again. I wanted take extra care with my art because I wanted it to look like it was worth putting the exhibition. Below is the plan for my art.

Success Criteria of the art

Artist art

This is my art that I have worked hard on. I chose this to be on my blog for this week because I am very proud of it and it looks really cool.

My art represents drama because of the masks that actors wear. I chose light colours for the background and dark colours for the masks so the mask will stand out. I worked with Liske. We had to accurately rule and cut strips so that we could weave our background. We mixed blue and white to make the paint around the outside of the masks. We glued the eyes, eyebrows and mouth and heavily sprinkled glitter overtop of it. I am proud of the art.

Monnkyville

This week we had to design a thing that will entertain an animal. I chose a monkey. Here is my design.

Design an animal enrichment toy or feeding system to keep an animal entertained in a zoo. You can present this any way you like.

You should consider:

Who is it for?
Monkeys

How will it work?
The Monkeys will climb up the walls and swing off the ropes

Who will make it?
Builder that makes playgrounds

Who will maintain it?
Zoo keeper

What are the benefits to your system?
The monkeys will never get bored with so many different things to do.

What are the negatives?
The monkeys could not be able to climb that high and also the ropes could get worn out and break.

Christchurch Art

This is my Christchurch art that is supposed to make people happy. It is good for Christchurch because it will brighten up the town. I made it with newspaper, dye, pastel and vivid. This is my favourite quote.
